
Bread and Butter Pickles
1 qt cucumbers, sliced
3 or 4 onions, sliced
1 red pepper, sliced
- Soak above ingredients in 1/4 cup salt and water for 3 hours.
- Drain well.

Syrup
pinch of cloves
1/2 tsp mustard seed
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cup cider vinegar
1 tsp celery seed
1 tsp tumeric
- Bring syrup to a boil.
- Add cucumber mix to syrup.
- Bring slowly back to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes.
- Put in canning jars.
