Grammy's Cookbook

Along with her recipe box, Grammy Gertie has kept and used a 1942 Pocket Cookbook (from which the previous fruitcake recipes came).

The first page reads "In order to cooperate with the government's war effort, this book has been made in strict conformity with WPB regulations restricting the use of certain materials."

To which, Grammy merrily has added the cooking instructions for a turkey pie.
